How long and how difficult is the trek? This will be our first time to go on a trek if ever. Hence we are a liitle apprehensive if we can handle the trek. Thanks

      Hi Lester,

The short trail is around 45 minutes. Its not really that hard actually and beginners can usually finish the trek. Especially since we won’t be in a hurry anyway :)

If you already arrived at the brgy. hall in Tarlac to registered, then from there you will ride the 4×4 jeep it takes about an hour in the ROUGH roads to reach the place where you start to walk/trek. Then from there I think it takes about 2 or 3 hrs, sorry can’t really remember, but when you reach on the top…oh gee it is amazing!!!(^_^ very nice, great place so beautiful promise…^_^

    QUESTIONS:
    1. Where in Cubao do we get off?

    2. Where do we pay our fees?

    3. Is there no danger of holduppers/bad guys along the way from Brgy Hall to the Pinatubo crater? Is the road along the way protected by authorities? Has there been incident/s in the past of holdupping or such crimes? Pls be honest with ur reply.

    4. Is the water in the crater good enough for bathing? I mean not contaminated with any harmful chemicals or effluents?

    5. I see there are about 3 hrs acitivity time around the Pinatubo crater. Aside from swimming what other activity do we expect to do or are programmed for us?

    6. Is there a guaranty that the 4X4 jeep/van will not be OVERLOADED? Walang nakabitin na mga freeriders?

    7. As you yourself said above, the roads there are rough. Do you
have a standby or reserve vehicle/s just in case the 4×4 breaks
    down the road?

Pls email to me your replies to this. I expect maybe 6 in all of us to go if we find it OK. Thanks.

      Hi,

Here are the answers to your queries:

      1. Our package includes roundtrip private transfers from Metro Manila.
      2. Payment is through bank deposit.
      3. There has been no incidents of crime so far. The area of Mount Pinatubo is being secured by the Philippine Air Force.
      4. The water in the crater is great for bathing. Its actually full of fresh rain water which is why the color is blue/ green.
      5. Other options would be to go boating around the crater.
      6. Each 4×4 has a maximum of 5 passengers exlcuding the driver.
      7. 4×4 vehicles are on stand by to rescue any tourists that get stranded :)

Please let me know if you need anything else. I have also sent the reply to your email add.

You can contact us directly at info@e-philippines.com.ph

      Thank you.
      5.

Hi there, I’m a Philippine mountaineer and would like to show a peek of what I do to one of my employer’s officers who came from Norway and just staying here in the Philippines for a month or two. I haven’t climb Mt. Pinatubo yet and I heard from one of my trekking buddies that trail to the crater has a river trekking and I’m quite concerned bout the safety of my Boss. Would like to verify it sir, I’ve encountered lots of challenges and it’s all fun, but since I’m taking responsibility of my boss, just want to assure the said for safety purposes before we commit to this climb.

    Thanks in advance

    Sincerely,

    Jess
