avoid using disposable cups, plates and utensils, please. make provisions for washing utensils so you can reduce the trash you have to deal with and keep the island clean.

Commuting? Take any bus going to Lucena City and you will be brought to Lucena Grand Terminal. Take any bus (hourly) going to Mauban, upon arriving Mauban go to Daungan or Pantalan by tricycle or walking. Alternately, Jac Liner now has two bus plying the Edsa QC-Mauban route, just dunno the time. Just remember the first boat leaves Mauban Port around 10am.

buses going to bicol does not pass mauban. alight at grand terminal and transfer to a mauban bound bus. if you missed the public boat you can always haggle for a boat rental (pricey!).

Me and my friend were there last Friday. Without any tour guide or package tour we were able to get there on our own. JAC Liner has direct trip to Mauban. Actually it was effortless to get there as long you have all the information and things you need. Instead of camping, we rented a room for 1500 because of unpredictable weather. We only spent a littlw over 3000 for the entire trip.
