The Poor Traveler is a brainchild of two individuals who had always wanted to explore every island in the country and every place on the map that was worth visiting. Unfortunately for them, every trip drained their wallets, bank accounts, and sex drive. Frustrated with always landing a pricey trip and failing to find a good tour package when they travel, they almost cursed their parents, the government and humanity in general for their being underprivileged.
Coming home from a ridiculously, unreasonably, dangerously expensive trip in which they almost killed each other, the two poor guys had an epiphany. They decided to set up a website that will compile the most affordable packages from travel agencies, resorts, and hotels throughout the country for them and for others to strike a great deal.
And so the Poor Traveler was born.
They will also be documenting their own trips and adventures in the future.
And yeah, this website promotes Philippine tourism, too. How’s that for a side trip?
